Leaving...on a jet plane...today!

Yesterday we left Naramata with a car load of stuff. On our way there was plenty of wildlife to see us off. Huge ravens, many deer and two beautiful black bears!! One of the bears hung out on the side of the road eating yellow flowers while people parked near by and stood up through their sunroofs to get a better look (hee hee the Canadian safari).

Today we are re-packing and doing the last minute errands in Vancouver before we fly out at 8:30pm. Yesterday, Marijke spoke with Dr. Maimbolwa in Zambia who reminded us that we will need to bring warm clothes as it is winter...some days as low as 6 degrees! Cathy's friends Rose and Geoffery are picking us up at the airport in Lusaka and we will stay at the Cha Cha Cha hostel for 2 nights before braving the bus to Katete. When you wake up Thursday morning we will be in the capital of Zambia!!

Check back in a week or so to to get our next update and first impressions of Zambia.
